Barranco 3D Project

Barranco, a town located south of Lima and accessed by train or tram, is full of old houses, restaurants, pubs and art galleries. GEB reader 'Auquicu' took more than 800 photos and spent five months modeling this town, in an effort to call attention to institutions and authorities to preserve the monumental architecture of the district, that is in some cases very neglected and damaged.
While the area he covered isn't very large, it's remarkably detailed. You'll find trees, bushes, streetlights and even water in the fountain.
The buildings load very quickly, as Auquicu used careful modeling techniques to keep the size of the models as small as possible. Check out the city using this KMZ file, or watch the video below for a brief tour of the highlights:
