Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips on Google StreetView

A couple of days ago we posted an image of some guys taking a bath outdoors. It turns out it is Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips… This is one of surprisingly few celebrity sightings so far on StreetView.

While it is difficult to identify Coyne in the blurry image taken by the Google Street View camera, pictures and videos elsewhere on the internet confirm that he was behind the stunt.
A video posted on MySpace indicates that the “Blob in the Bath” installation was part of the neighbourhood Hallowe’en celebration hosted by Coyne and his wife Michelle in 2007. The bath was apparently rigged up to boil like a cauldron.
